The idea that the founding fathers were just a bunch of “old white males” was a newly introduced, hateful and misleading idea in America back in the early 20th century. The truth is that the founding fathers were forward thinking, godly, caring, learned men who wrote an amazing document called the United States Constitution. I urge you to read, re-read, study and get to know the Constitution, Declaration and Bill of Rights.
When you hear someone, perhaps in our government, say that the Constitution constrains us, or needs to be updated, or is a living constitution that must be reinterpreted in this different time than the 18th century, or may be ignored by judges or politicians, be afraid, be very afraid. Never forget that the U. S. Constitution was designed to protect you, the citizen, from the government, and that some in government depend on you not knowing this country’s history or historical documents.
I urge you to either read the Constitution or listen to it for free from Learn out Loud. Then watch our politicians, and listen to what they say, and measure those words against the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights.
